Incongruous
-Josiah Vermont
Now I’ve always been introspective and stoic
cynical, pragmatic, misread
You flipped the script calling me a narcissist
from a character study rooted in your head
You never came with me to see Frampton
I sat alone in a sold out house
He played Lines On My Face at the very end
and it felt like every word came out of my mouth
These lawyers are strangers you send at me
like the judge presiding over the case
Went from kisses to a courtroom granting you my son
and at what time he can see my face
I don’t know if there’s advice you’re being fed
or if any of it even worked out for them
But I’m happy its over before wedding bells rang
with no hope of us being friends
