Light 2 the Dark

In a proactive measure I’m studying
these lessons that we’ve been taught
How we brought ‘light’ to ‘dark’ continents
with Bibles, bloodshed, and smallpox
And here, my baby who started breathing
mandated to receive booster shots
will be sent to pre-school training camp
to be programmed with who knows what
But I say dark is not ignorant
and modesty not homely
And since the inside matches the outside
Mommy looks absolutely lovely
And if this message can reach my baby
then at least we’ll conquer beauty
and all other life lessons
might then come easy

So now the media will teach my child
to be more, one must wear less
And the seemingly innocent cartoons
will indoctrinate her on sex
And the learned way to treat your parents
reeks of rudeness and disrespect
And for colouring Adam and Eve brown
my child will get a big red X
But dark is not ignorant
and modesty not homely
And since the inside matches the outside
Mommy looks absolutely lovely
And as we forward on this journey
down this road which isn’t easy
We can both find happiness
existing in truth and natural beauty
